We believe the Bible is God-breathed and God-inspired. (2 Timothy 3:16-17)
We believe in God, as the Father almighty, behind the creation of all things visible and invisible; as Jesus Christ, both divine and human, who, because of sin, became human, suffered, died, rose, ascended, and will come again, as the Holy Spirit; the giver of life and one with the Father and the Son.
While we were yet sinners Christ died for us, removing all our sin and brokenness for those who believe on Him. (John 3:16, Romans 5:8) This allows us to access salvation by grace—we have no righteousness of our own. We believe that sincere repentance and a whole-hearted acceptance of Christ, we are justified before God and a new creation. (1 John 1:9, 2 Corinthians 5:17, Galatians 2:20)
Water baptism is a way to show your faith that Jesus' death and resurrection is how our old, sinful life has been overcome and we are now living in Christ as new creations. It isn’t necessary for salvation, but an outward, public confession of an inward decision to follow Christ, and an important step in the life of a believer.
We believe that it is the will of God that we walk in the Spirit daily. (Ephesians 4:30-32) The Holy Spirit is received at salvation and there is a second outpouring of the Spirit called the baptism of the Holy Spirit to empower the believers so they can spread God's good news for all to hear. (Acts 2:4) When the Holy Spirit is at work in our life we experience the fruits of the Spirit: love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. We also believe that the Holy Spirit distributes the "Gifts of the Spirit" as He wills so that God's power can be at work in our lives here on earth. (1 Corinthians 12:1-11, Galatians 5:22)
